I have seen the movie several times and just watched it recently and was struck by several of these details. For example, when Lucy finds the wardrobe, she walks into a room and the music stops, then there are several details, such as a bug buzzing at the window, a beautiful shot of the cloth billowing down as Lucy uncovers the wardrobe, and mothballs rolling onto the ground when she opens the door. There are also so many beautiful details in the movie, pulled from the book, that easily could have been left out, but they draw you into the movie. Lewis, I believe, intended there to be metaphors of Christianity in the book, and the film did not warp that. I read the book and while I think the book is better, the movie does a good job, for the most part, of staying true to the book, which I appreciate. I think this movie would fit into a well balanced media вЂњdiet.вЂќ There are a lot of good messages, such as forgiveness and repentance, that can be learned from the movie and are relevant in todayвЂ™s society. The themes, music, and overall message of the film are inspiring and uplifting. This is a beautiful example of Christian forgiveness and brotherly love. There is one particular part where three siblings must forgive their brother and they whole-heartedly do, although he has done horrible things. There are themes of love and sacrifice, forgiveness and loyalty. It embraces truth and beauty, with the classic good versus evil theme very similar to Jesus versus the devil. There may be a few flaws with the acting and script at times, but in general it is very skillfully developed. I think the soundtrack and cinematography are beautiful.
